Glass-Jar Moroccan Lanterns

I love these jars - I can see them all over my mantel, on my table, or what a great gift they would make :)

For original blog post on these - Scroll to the bottom of this post.

Materials
  • old glass jars (spaghetti jars, jam jars or any plain glass jar will work)
  • gold dimensional puff paint
  • glass paint (Delta or Pebeo Vitrea glass paint are great options)
  • paintbrush
  • wire (optional, for hanging lanterns)
Instructions
1. Remove labels and any glue residue from the glass jars and allow them to dry completely.
2. Apply the gold dimensional paint in various patterns. You can use the applicator tip to create small stud-like dots, draw various decorative patterns or push around the paint to create solid areas of gold. Let dry.

3. Pour a small amount of glass paint inside the jar and use your paintbrush to drag the paint up the sides of the jar, coating all of the jar’s interior. Let dry.

4. Your lanterns are now ready to enjoy indoors or out! Simply fill them with candles or add loops of fine-gauge wire to the tops for easy hanging.

DIY: Lampshades with Clear - Throw Away Party Cups

I found this on Pinterest - The link to the blog is at the bottom of this post. enjoy :)

I was on a training course a while ago. There were the traditional mineral water in plastic cups, or yes, everyone else took them for mugs but I immediately saw that it was actually small lampshades. In the true spirit of recycling and the risk of sounding a little crazy, I took care of most use bags, took them home and washed out of them. Today I did about all the small lamp shades using fabric glue.

Plot of the cup by rolling it over a piece of paper and draw along the top and bottom.

Cut pieces of fabric from the template. I had 16 cups and thus cut out 16 pieces of fabric.

Glue the piece of cloth are around the cups. I used decoupage. Cut / rock since a cross in the bottom of the cup  / lamp shades on a light string.

Enjoy :)
